Several people are feared dead following a crash involving a matatu and a lorry at Matsangoni along the Mombasa-Malindi highway.
Confirming the accident to The Standard, Kilifi County Commissioner Kutswa Olaka said a rescue operation is underway.
"We are on a rescue mission and moving survivors to Kilifi District hospital…though as of now we can't ascertain the number of casualties,” he said.
Survivors have been taken to the Kilifi District hospital for treatment.
