Mombasa Health County Executive Joab Tumbo said the county government will partner with selected clubs and entertainment joints in its door-to-door campaigns against HIV/Aids.
“Mombasa County will host the World Aids Day celebrations in which all the 47 counties would be represented. The county must be in the forefront in the fight against HIV/Aids,” said Tumbo at a press conference.
He said First Lady Margaret Kenyatta will officially open the World Aids Day celebrations on December 1 at the Mbaraki Sports Club.
Tumbo said Mombasa County will also undertake moonlight counselling and testing, condom awareness and psychosocial counseling during the campaign.
