Kenyan team qualified for the Semi-final of the Pan-African phase of the Guinness Football Challenge as runners-up in a game show that kicked off on Wednesday night on screens across the continent.
Fans of the show tuned in to get behind their nation as the very best contestants from across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Cameroon and Ghana all went head-to-head in a bid to win $250,000 and to grab that Pan-African champion crown.
Kenyan team comprising Francis Ngigi and Kepha Kimani were outclassed by Cameroonian duo Emerand Tchouta and Abdul Salam, who made it to the final round after putting in a display of knowledge and skill.
Even though the home boys failed to make it to the Guinness Money Wall, they qualified for the semis by virtue of their second-place finish in the show.
