Former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has finally bring to an end his feud with Jose Mourinho.
The Dutch manager joined United after the world cup and led United back to the Champions League in his first season at Old Trafford.
However, his second season was dogged by misfortunes as he was not able to earn United fans’ trust with his ‘possession’ style of play.
Lack of important wins and failing to clinch a spot in the top four that season led to his sacking just two days after winning the FA Cup over Crystal Palace in May 2016.
The 66-year-old has been critic of Mourinho’s style of playing accusing him of playing ‘boring footbal’ after their 2-1 defeat to rival Manchester City back in December last year.

The Dutch manager also blasted Mourinho for his unfair treatment of former Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.
However, speaking in Germany few days ago, Van Gaal made peace with Mourinho and directed his frustrations at United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward saying he was not honest with him regarding his future at the club.
‘I am not disappointed with Jose Mourinho. Every coach wants to train Manchester United, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world,’ he told Sport Bild.
‘I think Jose wanted that, too, and although he was able to do so in 13th place, he had a chance on a fantastic team like Chelsea.
‘I was in fourth place! I still do not blame him.’
‘What I find wrong is when a CEO says that they are totally happy with you and they tell you not to believe the press.
‘Then you win the FA Cup and are still fired,’ he added.
