| Gervinho HATES Arsenal after the way Arsene Wenger treated striker |
Premier League flop Gervinho has said his poor treatment by Arsenal has made him “hate” the club.
The Ivory Coast international was an £11million signing at the Emirates Stadium, but was shipped off to Roma after just nine Premier League goals in 46 games.
And he claims that he struggled in north London because Gunners boss Arsene Wenger never showed faith in him after completing his dream move.
“He [Wenger] never had confidence in me,” Gervinho is reported as saying in Gazzetta dello Sport.
“As a child I dreamed of playing for Arsenal, because I loved them.

“Now I hate them for the way Wenger treated me.
“However, I regretted leaving the club after such a short time without being able to show my worth, which I’m now doing at Roma instead.”
The 27-year-old is now thriving under Rudi Garcia in the Eternal City, with Gervinho claiming the former Lille boss is a far more effective man manager than his compatriot Wenger.
“Garcia doesn’t differentiate between those who are playing and those who aren’t playing. That’s important for a player.
“He doesn’t only speak to those who are playing, he talks to everyone as there are 25 players in the squad, not just 11."
