Nairobi, Kenya: MultiChoice Kenya has announced a 50% price reduction in the cost of its GOtv decoders to help speed up Kenya’s Analogue Switch Off efforts set for December 31st 2014.
The company’s swift reaction to reduce the price of the GOtv set top box from Sh3,399 to Sh1,799 (incl. 2 month GOtv Plus subscription) means that consumers are not only offered the easiest and most affordable way to join the digital revolution but are also guaranteed a festive season jam-packed with great entertainment..
Both MultiChoice Kenya’s content delivery platforms, Satellite Direct-to-Home (DStv) and Digital Terrestrial Transmission (GOtv), are already digital therefore current subscribers will not be affected by the analogue switch off.
Additionally, GOtv is pleased to announce more festive cheer for GO getters this December as GOtv will be opening all its channels, to all subscribers regardless of their bouquet or subscription status at no extra charge from Friday 5 December to Sunday 7 December 2014.
“It’s an open content weekend on GOtv. This means subscribers can now enjoy all their favourite entertainment programmes, broadcast in digital quality and all you need is a GOtv decoder,” said GOtv Kenya General Manager, Felix Kyengo.
