Ambition, they say, is the best currency. It never depreciates. It is fairly common for women to fall for a man they see potential in. Women were gifted with an extravagant capacity to take nonsense from men. They also have infinite patience when it comes to waiting for the dreams of their prospective ‘husbands’ to mature. Often, they hardly come to fruition. And often when they do, they are abandoned for younger prettier women.
So today I will be a good a boy and share some Adam secrets.
Men can be lazy, especially when it is not their cash or effort that is being expended. Look at how those in government are spendthrifts. Also examine the men we often label misers and see how hardworking they are.
If there is a woman men are quick to despise, it is a desperate woman. And nothing screams desperation than a woman who dishes out cash to make a man stay. Sometimes it is done in good faith. However, like the witty Clare Boothe Luce once said, “no good deed goes unpunished.”
In my estimation, women give money to boyfriends because of three reasons: They — men — are in a dire need (humane), they are in love (dumb), they feel unattractive or past their sell-by-date and wish to keep the man of their dreams by all means (wrong). Before kept men came along, there were men who were ambitious or carried with them dreamy aspirations that needed an understanding woman to nurture.
All they have is potential and a good game in bed. Such men are mostly just out of college looking for a job, and a prospectively good one, or about to hit pay dirt on some deal.
And here is where some woman gets deluded. She opts to stand by the man and supports the broke bloke without qualms.
Such men who peddle ambition are often handsome enough that such women want kids from them. A gross mistake. The first sure sign that the lad will take off is that you can never trap him into having a kid with you. He is always very circumspect about the relationship.
Even when the woman is generous with her every other possession, the man is often withdrawn save for liquor, which no one can restrain himself from anyway.
Here is the thing: As soon as things fail to pick up, the man relapses to alcohol. Drugs are fairly common lately. He becomes disrespectful and abusive. And when they get their job or the money they have been looking for, they start to shamelessly go after other women. Men can be forgetful. All of sudden, they start noticing flaws that they never saw before.
I will advise that before you start buying the pipe dreams of a man, agree on a few things. If you give him money for upkeep, you can forgo. However, bigger amounts that can bring about bitterness later, better give out as a loan and have a written agreement somewhere.
He might never repay you, but at least show him that you are not that desperate lest he takes everything for granted. And if two years later, there is nothing to show, kick him out ruthlessly. You can always do better by yourself.
