The matches include three 50 over and seven Twenty20 matches. The team returns on January 21.

The squad will be captained by Collins Obuya.

Others are Rakep Patel, Alex Obanda, Tanmay Mishra, HirenVaraiya, David Obuya, Morris Ouma, Duncan Allan, Ragheb Aga, Nehemiah Odhiambo, Nelson Odhiambo, James Ngoche, Shem Obado, Elijah Otieno and Alfred Luseno.

Important tour

Chairman of Selectors Vadher said:

"This is an important tour ahead of a key period of fixtures in the next few months with Intercontinental Cup, World Cup Qualifiers and ranking T20 matches against Ireland in Mombasa in February and then the Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers in Dubai in March.

"These players have an excellent opportunity to cement places for themselves in those squads and also specific roles within the team itself.

"We are looking to bed down combinations, for individuals to start producing match winning contributions and for the team to develop a winning culture," he said.

Meanwhile, Sikh Union beat favourites Kanbis Sports Club by 31 runs in the Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) 20/20 Super League Match at the Eastleigh Secondary School Ground on Sunday.

The match was officiated by Narendra Dave and Subhash Modi.

Sikh Union batted first and scored 151 for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Hamza Malik (44) Maurice Odumbe (32) and Rajesh Khetia (25) were the main contributors for Sikh Union.

Kanbis Sports Club managed to score 120 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs, thanks mainly to Rikesh Hirani 38 and Rajesh Varshani 31. Nadeem Ahmed bowled well to take a wicket for 8 runs.

In another match, umpires Narendra Dave and Subhash Modi awarded the NPCA 20/20 game to Goan Institute as the opponents, Anadil Jamaly, failed to turn up in time in the afternoon at the Eastleigh Secondary School Ground.

The Goan Institute team was present on the ground.

Elsewhere, Mr Modi has commended players for displaying sportsmanship during recent league matches.

Modi, an experienced international umpire, urged upcoming players to continue like that if they want to play for long.
