Content creator Ema Kalekye has denied rumours that she is dating rapper King Kaka. She said the online buzz began because of a song repost, not because they are in a relationship.

King Kaka had earlier on posted a reel on Facebook featuring Ema Kalekye wearing a corporate outfit.

The video was set to one of his songs, which repeatedly mentions “Ema Kalekye” and talks about “princess treatment.”

Fans became more curious after the two exchanged playful comments under the post. King Kaka called Ema “Morio wa mine,” meaning “my person,” and she replied, “Unanipa nini morio?” meaning “What are you giving me, my guy?”

Many people online then believed the exchange was a “soft launch” of a relationship. Ema later reposted the video on Instagram, which made the speculation grow even more.

Ema Kalekye has since responded, saying the situation had been exaggerated. She explained that the video was only connected to King Kaka’s song and not to any romance.

She wrote, “Just to clear the air, I think this is being blown out of proportion. It was simply a song repost, nothing more.”

She also asked social media users to stop creating stories from ordinary interactions. “Please stop creating stories and attaching meanings where none exist. Not every social media interaction needs a narrative. Let’s be respectful,” she added.

The rumours attracted attention because King Kaka and media personality Nana Owiti ended their 13-year relationship in December 2024.

In a joint statement, the former couple said they would continue raising their three children together with love, stability, and respect.

Their breakup followed months of public speculation about their marriage. Earlier in 2024, King Kaka had denied reports that they had separated, but the couple later confirmed the end of their relationship.
