Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu have marked 40 days since the birth of their daughter with a lavish celebration steeped in Swahili tradition.

The event brought together family, friends and some of Tanzania’s biggest entertainment names in a colourful gathering.

The celebrations began with a henna night, where female family members, friends and celebrity guests gathered for an intimate evening filled with intricate henna designs, music, laughter and traditional flair.

Among those present were Tanzanian singer Nandy and her husband, as well as fellow musician Juma Jux and his wife.

The henna night provided a traditional opening to the celebrations, with guests embracing customs associated with marking a baby’s 40th day.

In an Instagram post, Diamond thanked family and friends for their love and support since his daughter was born.

“Leo ni Siku Maalum ya 40 ya Binti yangu Kipenzi...kwanza kabisa niwashukuru kwa namna mmekua nasi bega kwa bega kwenye jambo hili, na kwa Kipekee nawakaribisha sana Ndugu, Jamaa na Marafiki,” Diamond wrote.

For the main event, the venue was transformed into a warm and elegant setting dominated by neutral beige, soft cream, dusty rose and gold.

Plush earth-toned and dusty-rose ottomans were arranged along a clean beige runner, creating an intimate, Arabic-inspired setting.

Gold accents added a luxurious glow, while the muted colours maintained the warmth of the occasion.

“Shughuri yetu leo itaanza Mapema kwasababu ni jambo la mtoto,” Diamond said, urging guests to arrive early.

Guests were encouraged to embrace Arabic-inspired attire, adding another visual layer to the cultural theme.

Members of the media were required to wear full black and carry their media identification cards.

Beyond the décor and celebrity appearances, one of the most notable features of the celebration was the presence of Diamond’s children.

Princess Tiffah, Prince Nillan, Dylan and Naseeb Jr. were all present, creating a rare family gathering as they joined their father and Zuchu in welcoming their baby sister.
