After months of speculation, media personality Anita Nderu has announced she’s expecting her first baby with her husband, Barrett Raftery.
The TV host announced the news on Monday morning on her Instagram after sharing a video showing her visibly growing bump.
Anita, known for her impeccable fashion sense, chose a unique way to reveal her pregnancy, going for an African theme, with most outfits made of Maasai and Nigerian beads.
Her other outfits included a red leather dress and a black and white long skirt paired with a black top.
However, the highlight was when she got her whole body painted in white, entirely covered in beads, while flaunting her bump.
Celebrities and fans camped in the comment section and congratulated the couple on the big news.
“CREATIVITY. I love it all. Congratulations Anita and thank you for flying that beautiful,” wrote Makena Njeri.
Kate the Actress thought the video was so glam, saying, “Congratulations doll also this announcement deserves a Grammy Weeh.”
Other celebrities, including Terryanne Chebet, Milly WaJesus, Sarah Hassan, Nancie Mwai, and Tedd Josiah, also congratulated the couple.
Anita first sparked the pregnancy rumours in May after stepping out in a white ruffled dress.
“I love a party with a dress code! Overdressed is my theme always! I am those clients whom whenever as a creative you are wondering “Who is willing to wear all this?” Anita captioned the photo.
“You are rocking that bump well,” wrote one of the fans.
Anita and Barrett tied the knot in September in a lavish wedding attended by close friends and family.
