After pulse exclusively published pictures of singer Jaguar at the Wilson airport strip by a plane and a posh Bentley convertible, both christened with his name, the Kigeugeu singer has said the display was never made for show.

“I am a very simple person and i never do anything for show. I was not aware the photos were out there as i never saw anyone taking them. I was shocked that the story is out there,” the singer told MondayBlues on Saturday.

“I live within my means and only buy what i can afford. People should not be fast to judge the worth of an artiste by what he drives or wears. I have said time and time again that artists should invest and remember to give back to society, which I consider to be the greatest thing. I am a giver and beyond my singing career, I am venturing into helping upcoming artists and the less privileged youth in achieveing their goals,” he noted.

The young philanthopic singer who released his new kipepeo single recently is arguably the richest artiste in Kenya. He has a chain of flats in Ngara, Nairobi and a number of businesses, among them an automobile garage, an insurance company and a taxi firm.

He recently purchased a house worth Kshs 16 Million along Mombasa Road near Daystar University, where he will be moving to in a few weeks time.

“The days when singers were regarded as hopeless people living just for show off are gone. Singing is a career like any other. Entertainment is big business and artists should be respected,” he concluded.
