Over the weekend, lawyer turned politician Karen Nyamu entertained netizens with a never seen before video of herself dancing and having a good time.
The seemingly carefree mother of two whined her waist to Ugandan singer Karole Kasita's song Balance, and her fans could not get enough of it.
A section of online users commended the Nairobi County Government official for her impeccable dancing skills. In contrast, others condemned her decision to publicly whine her waist without considering her position in society.
Reacting to the video posted on Instagram, Karen commented, saying she might have embarrassed herself by allowing her video to go viral.
"Yesterday I really embarrassed myself," wrote Karen.
However, her fans were quick to support her and let her know that she had not done anything wrong by enjoying herself.

Dowry chronicles
Other than dancing, Karen has been busy in the countryside taking care of her 'dowry'. The outspoken social media influencer posted a picture of herself with a herd of cattle with the caption, "Inspecting my dowry, the jealous people will start saying that I don't have a husband, where did you hear that?"
Karen has been making headlines ever since her relationship with Mugithi singer Samidoh went public.
Samidoh was the first to come out with the news of their relationship, apologizing to his wife for having an extramarital affair with Karen.
"I am sorry! I have put my family and myself in a bad situation. It is true I had a friendship with Ms. Karen Nyamu and its this involvement that led to the birth of an innocent child whom I have and will always support both emotionally and materially. I am a proud father to my children," he said.
In her defense, Karen explained that she was not aware that Samidoh was a family man.

"I don't think I confused Samidoh. We met at a political event that he was performing at, and we became friends. I didn't know Samidoh was married because he was not even wearing a ring. I came to know after being his friend for around four months…. I am not making excuses. These things happen; a lot of women live this life. The only thing I have a problem with is people thinking I am a homewrecker – that I was doing things to compete with the wife and all that," the city politician told radio host Jalang'o during an online show.
Before the admission of their relationship, Karen had told Massawe Japanni of Radio Jmabo that she and Samidoh were nothing more than friends.
"Samidoh is my friend. I thought I just post the video just like you post your other friends. However, people started commenting, bringing in different angles, like about Samidoh's wife, and so I decided to pull it down. I didn't have any bad intention, plus Samidoh is his own brand, and I didn't want to tarnish it. We were in Dubai where Sonko and other politicians were too, and we were staying around the same area, and we just got into a boat together as friends," she said.
