The property Meru Senator Mithika Linturi and Marianne Kitany are fighting over includes land titled Nairobi/Block 93/1564 and  Nairobi/Block 93/1565, now charged to a local bank for Sh252 million; and a plot L.R No.7785 in Runda Mae Ridge Estate registered in Linturi’s name said to be worth Sh56,250,000.00.

Others are L.R No. Kajiado/Kaputiei North/10724 worth Sh4.2 million and 10725 Chuna Estate in Kitengela registered in Linturi’s name.

Other parcels of land include L.R. No. Kajiado/Kaputei North/10444 worth Sh7.2 million, as in land number 10445, 10446 and 104447, all registered in Linturi’s name.

Included in the tussle are also plots worth 100.8 million- L.R. NO. Kajiado/Kitengela/25310, Kitengela International School registered in Linturi’s name.

In Meru, the couple is feuding over L.R. No. Ntima/Igoki/4432, worth Sh7.2 million.

Other assets include Shantui SD22 bulldozer, one Shantui SL50W-3 wheel loader, one Shantui SG21-3 motor grader, one Shantui SE210 excavator, one Shantui SR12P-5 vibratory roller, and vehicles supported by a specific debenture for Sh19,880,000 created over motor vehicles KCD 883Y, KCD 884Y, KCG  463Z, KCE 735Z and CHSD22AWCE1017087 (crawler bulldozer).

There is also cash in five bank accounts that is being contested.

Power couple that no longer see eye to eye

Linturi, an insurance broker, was first elected as a Kanu MP for Igembe South in 2007. His first wife was a teacher and daughter to a former Meru County Council chairman.

He has also previously been in a relationship with a medical professional and a Somali woman.

Kitany was the IT manager at the Kenya Railways before joining the Ruto campaign secretariat prior to the March 4 2013 elections.

Before that, she worked in a similar position at the Energy Regulatory Commission and Hamilton, Harrison & Mathew Advocates, as well as being a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology at Strathmore University.

Kitany studied at the University of Nairobi and Columbia Business School, a business school of Columbia University in Manhattan, New York City.

It is one of six Ivy League business schools and among the most reputable business schools in the world.
