“Waaaah. What's happening at 14 Riverside fam? Any news from out there?” Posted James Oduor.

A cry for help made over 21 hours ago at Westlands, Nairobi, that captured the terror as he tried to make a sense of the happenings at Dusit D2 hotel where suspected Al-Shabaab elements had blasted their way in.

When the guns went silent, Odu Cobra as he was popularly known was dead, killed alongside 13 others.

Among those to have shared the grief is rapper Kristoff who wrote that he had lost his child hood friend.

“Woke up to the saddest news ever, lost a very close childhood friend in yesterday's attack, this is so sad and hard to believe. Rest well with the Angels, my friend @odu_cobra..and Today is his birthday too,” wrote Kristoff.

A sentiment shared by journalist Mike Okinyi who wrote, “Go well Odu Cobra.....you tried your best to escape but they got you. We celebrate your birthday today knowing you are a hero. Wadau TV will live on.....”

FKF President Nick Mwendwa also mourned the passing of the football guru saying he will be missed but not forgotten.

“Fare thee well my friend. Your good spirit will live on in football. You did your part. We shall do ours and remember you,” wrote Mwendwa.

Cobra was part of the Wadau Tv crew.

President Uhuru Kenyatta in his address to the nation early today morning while revealing that the death toll stood at 14 people, over 700 civilians were evacuated to safety.

The attack happened at around 3pm on Tuesday.
