Having not changed a bit, Fat Joe is aging like fine wine after he clocked and celebrated his 48 birthday on Friday.
Throwing it down at Jay Z’s club 40/40 in Manhattan, the party was a slew of A list celebrities including Mary J. Blige, Fabolous, Floyd Mayweather and Michael Rappaport.
“I want to thank all my friends and family that came out to celebrate LIFE with me. You all mean so much to me. We had the time of our lives laughing and celebrating all night with some of the most legendary artists performing classic hits. I love you all and God willing we do it again next year bigger! Life is Beautiful,” Fat Joe posted.
Typical of an artist, he kept the vibes mellow as RnB legends Keith Sweat and SWV took to the stage to perform. Other impromptu sets came from Ja Rule and Remmy Ma who were also present at the VIP party.
Unable to attend himself, Jay Z, who’s on the road for his “On the Run II” tour with wife Beyoncé, sent the party 10 big bottles of his ‘Ace of Spades’ Champagne at $6,000 (Sh600,000)per bottle.
According to reports, the 10 magnums cost Hov a cool $60,000 dollars (Sh6 million).
Before the night could come to an end, the rapper received a surprise gift of customized Big Punisher-themed Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.
Pleased by the gift, he took to his social media in memory of Big Pun.
“Love these my brother till we meet again BIG PUN,” he captioned the pic alongside the sneakers and photo of the late Pun.
