Otile Brown

Two days since he dropped ‘Baby Love’ featuring his bae Vera, the video has garnered over 500k views and Otile is none the happier.

‘’Over 500k in 2days is really something bless up fam, thanks for the love and support ..’’ he posted alongside a screenshot of the video.

However, one thing lingers in his mind that he cannot shake off.

His late mother.

‘’Appreciate and love your mama…feeling kinda emotional tonight. Wish she could be here so I can spoil her,” he posted.

The last born in a family of seven, the artist who hails from the Coast was forced to sell chang’aa to survive after the death of his parents at the age of 14.

‘’I even dropped out of school owing to lack of fees. In 2013 I decided to relocate to Nairobi with the aim of establishing myself in the mature entertainment industry,’’ Bad Man Shivo said during an interview with Pulse magazine last year.

Upon reaching Nairobi, life would be anything but smooth sailing.

‘’Armed with faith and talent, despite the hard life I faced in Nairobi that saw me venture into menial jobs including selling second-hand clothes around the University of Nairobi, I never gave up on my dream,’’ he said.

Now a successful performing artist, Otile wishes his mother was here.

A day before his mother passed away, she had a special message for her son whom she believed so much in.

‘’When I was 14, a day before my mama passed on , She looked into my eyes and said “I am not worried about you,you will be ok.”She had so much confidence in me that I just had to believe in myself even more.We will always celebrate you mommy .R.I.P Totoo. #feelingemotional #wcw #justemotionstakingmeover #missyoumommy #confidenceiskey,’’ he posted.
