The absence of a certain individual in Mt Kenya region with political connections at a burial over the weekend has set tongues wagging.

According to African tradition, no sin is too big not to be forgiven once someone dies.

But Grapevine has learnt that the man who held a huge feast to celebrate his falling out with the deceased has not been seen in public.

Before their big fall out, they were once so close that the deceased's car was often spotted at his home late in the night.

Gakuru’s death came days after the reunion feast and he has not been seen in public to pay his respects.

Residents are wondering whether he is blaming himself.
