Youths in Kibera engaged the police in running battles on Thursday morning after they blocked the road to Olympic Primary School. The school is the biggest polling station in Kibera.
The police moved in to clear the road as they dispersed the crowd that gathered around the area. An ensuing melee so the crowd hurl stones at the police officers and breaking classroom windows.
The rioters placed heavy stones on the road and the entrance to the school. They also used a chain to lock the gate.
