The Lion of Muthurwa- An inspirational short film about Harambee Stars and Southampton player Victor Wanyama

Harambee Stars captain and Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama has been featured by Barclays in a four-minute video highlighting his journey from the humble streets of Muthurwa to the glam of the English Premier League.

“They say it doesn’t matter where you come from, only where you’re going. But if you come from Africa, this is not true”… the inspirational short film titled The Lion of Muthurwa starts.

The 24-year-old fondly recalls his first national team call-up when he was only 15-years-old, playing in Belgium, Scotland and the UEFA Champions League.
