It seems our distinguished President has a fad for the fun things in life and this includes “Konvict” music. Well, Senegalese hit maker Akon, whose music is well appreciated across the world, was recently in Kenya and not for a public concert.
Impressively, Akon was in Kenya to discuss the “Light Africa project”, which shall see the Kibra slums lit up in line with the Vision 2030 projections.
This came soon after Haitian singer Wyclef Jean, who is a close friend to Akon, jetted out of the country after working as part of some musical projects alongside other Kenyan artistes.
Besides the president, Akon met other members of government including Energy CS Davis Chirchir, Kenya Power MD Ben Chumo and President’s Private Secretary, Jomo Gecaga.
