A man was arraigned in court for allegedly stealing his employer’s money which he used to bet and unfortunately, lost.
Kenneth Muriungi Kimathi is reported to have stolen Sh150,777 from Wabcom Technologies Limited, where he worked as a money transfer agent.
Kimathi, who pleaded guilty to the charge, is said to have committed the offence on diverse days between May 22 and 24.
According to prosecution, on May 22, Kimathi stole around Sh90,000.
Further, on May 24, he used the remaining money to bet.

The company’s supervisor suspected something was amiss when Kimathi claimed that the money had been stolen.
However, after interrogation by police, he confessed that he lost the money on bets.
He was set free on a Sh100,000 cash bail.
His case will be heard on July 25.
