A woman in whose house a gun was recovered told a court she has never seen a firearm.
Jessica Awino, 23, said she was equally surprised when a gun and police uniforms were recovered from under her bed.
She is charged for being in possession of a revolver and four rounds of .45mm ammunition.
Police claimed Awino did not have a firearm certificate, an offence she allegedly committed on November 18 in Embakasi.
Awino is also charged for being in possession of a camouflage jacket and handcuffs, among other police items.

The prosecution said members of the public tipped-off the police that the accused person, together with her husband, were criminals and had a firearm in their premises.
Police invaded the suspect’s house but she denied that she was married.
The officers spotted part of a police uniform under the bed, but Awino reportedly denied knowledge of how the uniforms found their way under her bed.
She denied the charges and was released on a Sh300,000 cash bail.
The case will be mentioned on December 3.
