The Nairobi MCA who can't speak or understand English

A nominated Nairobi MCA who admitted she cannot understand or speak English is currently visiting Europe.

Tabitha Ndigirigi is on an official 10-day tour of Italy to sample its culture. She is among five Nairobi MCAs from Culture and Community Services Committee.

“I can confirm that they travelled, but I don’t know when they left. They are on a tour of familiarizing themselves with Italian culture,” a member of the committee said.

The Nairobian overheard fellow MCAs wondering how Ndigirigi, a member of the culture committee, was dealing with language barrier in Italia.

“We cannot proceed with that meeting because some of our members are away. Some are in Mombasa and others like Ndigirigi are in Italy. I wonder how she (Ndigirigi) is coping there,” an MCA was heard telling colleagues on June 16.

Ndigirigi is on record saying she could only communicate in Kiswahili. “Sielewi hiyo kizungu hata,” (I don’t understand English at all),” she told a shocked probe committee in the County Assembly on May 9.
