Also known as halitosis, bad breath comes as a result of excess bacteria in mouth and sinus cavities. Normally, good oral hygiene keeps these bacteria under control.
However, according to one dentist, Dr Phil Stemmer, a dentist from the Fresh Breath Centre in London, stress increases the chances and possibility of bad breath as well as teeth decay.
Talking to Mail Online, he said: “when we’re stressed, our sympathetic nervous system cuts the production of saliva as it is useless at times of crisis. But the result is that the mouth becomes dry, which promotes teeth decay.
