Mount Kenya University plans to construct Sh600 million petroleum and geothermal studies Institute in Lodwar.
MKU’s Chairman Simon Gicharu, said the institute’s courses will address the needs of the region and spur economic growth of the people.
Turkana has attracted a lot of investors who want to benefit from the prospected oil mining in the region. The launch was held on February 18 at MKU’s Lodwar campus.
