Diamond Platnumz's sister Esma Khan has been in an on and off relationship with Ahmed Manungwa popularly known as ‘Petit Man’ for 8 years.
Blessed with a daughter Taraj, Petit Man narrated that what he shares with Esma is pure and has survived the test of time including two serious break-ups.
“Siku zote mapenzi hayaulizwi kwa nini ulimpenda huyu, ila ninachojua ni upendo wa dhati, yaani mnajikuta tu mioyo yenu inaongea kimyakimya kisha mnajikuta tu mko pamoja. Kikubwa ni kwamba Esma ni mwanamke anayependa sana maendeleo kila kukicha,” he said.
According to Man Petit, their relationship started through a mutual friend who surprisingly is Miss Tanzania 2006 - Wema Sepetu.
“Nakumbuka nilikuwa ninapenda kwenda nyumbani kwa Wema, wakati huo pale Kijitonyama. Halafu Esma alikuwa anakuja pale kwa wifi yake (wakati huo Wema akiwa mpenzi wa Mondi),” he said.
The two lovebirds went their separate ways in September 2018 after he reportedly cheated on Esma with a Rwandese beauty who he allegedly impregnated and married.
In a separate interview, however, he denied the allegations and firmly insisted that he is only married to Esma.
“Nina mke mmoja ambaye niko naye kwa sasa. Siwezi kumzungumzia mtu mwingine kwa sababu niko na mke wangu, Esma. Haitaleta picha nzuri,” he said.

Prior to making their reunion official, the two took everyone by surprise when they were Petit Man publicly announced that they had sorted their issues and decided to start afresh.
“Changamoto ni nyingi sana, lakini tunajitahidi kuzikabili wenyewe na kuzimaliza bila kumshirikisha mtu yeyote. Ikifikia hatua ya kumshirikisha mtu, basi ujue ni jambo kubwa. Ninachoamini mimi ni kwamba hakuna barabara isiyokosa kona au milima na mabonde. Hicho ndicho ambacho tumekishuhudia kwa miaka hiyo.”
Esma, on her part, showered Man Petit with praises saying that despite their drama, he is the best husband she could ever ask for.
“Kwa kweli ni mume bora kabisa. Haijalishi tumepitia kukurukakara kiasi gani, lakini kikubwa ni baba ambaye anaipenda na kuijali sana familia yake na hilo ndilo kubwa kwangu,” she said.

She revealed that she was devastated when she heard that had allegedly remarried, but, remained hopeful that he would eventually come back to her.
“Niliona kawaida sana kwa sababu nilijua Petie ni mume wangu na atarudi tu kwa sababu nilijua wazi hana furaha huko alipo, bali furaha yake ipo kwangu. Nilijua atarejea,” she narrated.
In 2019, Esma revealed that she got pregnant after their reunion, but, unfortunately, suffered a miscarriage and lost her unborn baby.
“Yes, I was pregnant. I miscarried, so I went to the hospital,” said Esma Platnumz.
