A policeman has been arrested after he sold his gun to a criminal in Kasarani area, Nairobi.
The gun is said to have since been used in several crime incidents in the city before it was recovered.
The policeman had claimed he lost the weapon but his seniors are questioning why he did not report the matter. He is under interrogation and would be charged soon.
Cases of police involvement in crime are on the rise with little or no serious action being taken to tame the same.
Elsewhere in Nairobi, several people were Tuesday night left homeless in a fire incident in Sinai slums.
