Vihiga, Kenya: An elderly clergy at Chanzeywe village, Mungoma location, Vihiga County is on the run after he defiled a minor and discovered that police were after him.
The man, 60, committed the crime on Monday night in a maize plantation and immediately went on the run upon realizing his mistake.
The minor, 8, was rushed to Vihiga health centre by officers from Mahanga Administration police.
Confirming the incident, Mungoma location chief Aderi Adaro said the residents learnt that the child had been defiled from a 10-year-old boy.
