Mutiria Wacece, a 36-year-old in Tharaka Nithi County, was on Sunday stabbed to death over a meal of termites.
Reports indicate that the deceased was picking termites outside the house of Muriungi Wa Kaindi when he was attacked.
Kaindi asked Wacece to surrender the insects saying they were his and a fight ensued.
The suspect then went to his house and got a knife before stabbing the victim four times in the chest.
