Suspects arrested over expired rice

A multi-agency team tasked with combating graft has arrested three suspects who were on Thursday found repackaging expired rice in Kamukunji, Nairobi. 

The three identified as Abdikafi Ahmed, Abdirizack Ahmed & Liban Ahmed Abdille were nabbed with over one thousand and five hundred-fifty Kg bags of Assorted Rice brands. 

The office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations said that the rice has been confiscated alongside a lorry and other items. 

“THREE SUSPECTS found repackaging expired rice were today arrested by a Multi-Agency team and over 1500 bags of Assorted Rice brands confiscated in Kamukunji. A lorry and other items also confiscated,” wrote DCI on Twitter.
