The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has notified motorists that a section of the Thika bound service lane at Ruaraka interchange will be partly closed this weekend.
Through a tweet seen by Ureport, KURA stated that the section would be closed to enable installation of overpass beams.
“Thika Bound Service Road at Ruaraka Interchange shall be partly closed on Saturday, August 31st & Sunday 1st September, 2019 from 6am to 5pm to enable installation of Overpass beams for Outer Ring Road Junction Overpass,” read the statement.
Initially, KURA had stated that the section would be closed for only one day - Sunday, September 1, 2019.

Part of the Thika Superhighway has had two of its lanes closed for the last month to allow for the construction of the overpass which is being constructed around Allsops area.
