Police are holding 10 men suspected to be behind frequent attacks and robberies near Maseno University.
Nine of the suspects were arrested on Sunday while one was nabbed on Monday. Police said they had intensified operations near the institution.
“We are still pursuing more suspects. We are sure we have the right people who have been engaging in burglaries and break-ins,” said Kisumu West sub-county Directorate of Criminal Investigations officer Abedi Kavoo.
The suspects have been implicated in robberies that took place about two weeks ago, including an incident where a woman was reportedly gang-raped.
Mr Kavoo said the suspects had been colluding with business people to help them hide stolen property.
