A video of a Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) student being beaten up by his colleagues after kissing one of their girlfriends has caught the attention of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
In the video, the victim, only identified as Alloys, is made to kneel down by Cedric who asks him why he made out with his girlfriend Angel.
“Who is Angel’s boyfriend?” asks Cedric before landing a hot slap on Alloys.
Cedric was in the company of a friend only identified as Chinga and they make Alloys lie down before caning him continuously.

Alloys’ apologies fall on deaf ears as they continue to beat him using a stick.
The DCI on Tuesday evening commented on the matter and advised the victim to make a formal report at his nearest police station.
“Good evening @Onsombi. Kindly advise the victim to make a formal report at his nearest Police Station & then share the OB number with us.
“We will ensure that Justice is served. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention,” said the DCI.
Later, word went round that Cedric was posting suicidal updates on social media although this is yet to be officially confirmed.
Kenyans online were outraged by the video and asked the DCI to act promptly.
Others opined that Cedric should be locked up for his actions and advised university students to focus on their studies instead of fighting over women.
