Is a senator from Luo Nyanza plotting to sabotage opposition chief Raila Odinga’s resolve to kick out MPs Aisha Jumwa (Malindi) and Suleiman Dori (Msambweni)?
Well, the politician who was recently pulled from political doldrums has planned a parallel function in his county on the same day Raila has convened ODM’s National Governing Council (NGC) to ratify the National Executive Council’s (NEC) decision to expel the errand MPs.
The Grapevine has learnt that the Senator has sent out invites to area MPs to attend the public function scheduled for March 1, in what could deny the Orange party the requisite numbers to ratify NEC’s decision.
NGC is made up all governors, senators and MPs elected under the part. The outfit is required to have at least two-third backing of the membership.
