A post-mortem on the body of Mildred Odira revealed that the injuries she sustained on her forehead, cheeks and neck were inflicted while she was seated upright.
The deceased’s body was found at City Mortuary on Tuesday, January 29, near Allsopps, Thika road, after her family had reported her missing.
There were initial reports that she had been run over by a car but the findings of the post-mortem suggest that she may have been killed before she was dumped on the busy road.
Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo suspected that the 32-year-old might have been hit by a hammer.
“The cause of death was the injury on the forehead, it looks like she was hit by a hammer and after she was dead then placed on the road for vehicles to run over her,” said the legislator.

Odira’s brother Carringtone Ogweno said he received death threats from unknown people who cautioned him against pursuing the matter further.
“In the morning, at around 7am I opened my gate, I found two guys on a motorcycle. They told me to bury her in peace unless I want to follow her," he revealed.
Prior to her demise, Odira had been picked up by a taxi driver identified as Davis Ochieng’ and they left for Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital.
CCTV footage from the hospital, however, showed the car, a black Mazda KCR 388T, make a U-turn at the premise without dropping off Odira.
The driver maintained that he dropped off the lady and police are still investigating the matter.
