One person was killed and scores others injured after a bus hit a pedestrian on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
During the accident at Fly Over trading centre at Magumu Kinangop, the pedestrian died at the scene during the Thursday evening accident.
Sixteen passengers were injured, four of them seriously. They were taken to various hospitals.
The bus driver was heading to Nairobi from Kakamega.

Witness James Gitau said the deceased crossed the road without checking.
The bus driver lost control before crashing on its side, injuring the passengers, majority of whom were taken to Kijabe Mission Hospital.
“The deceased, who is not known in this area, rushed without checking," he said.
Njabini OCPD Jane Munywoki said those injured are in stable condition.
The accident caused a massive jam on the highway forcing motorists to seek alternative routes.
