Rongo University student Sharon Otieno was brutally killed last week and two artistes, Lameckboy and Wandiga, have released a tribute song in her memory.

The track - Sharon Otieno Tribute Song – was uploaded on Wednesday 12, September and the message largely centers on a promising young lady who had her life cut short.

“Kwanza mimi nasema naumia roho, vipi umetoweka bado mdogo…”

It further states that her friends have been engulfed in a sombre mood ever since her brutal killing and it is tough to come to terms with her demise.

It condemns the men who planned her killing but says God’s plans are beyond human understanding.

Sharon was abducted last week on Monday in the company of Nation journalist Barrack Odour but she was later found dead at Kodera Forest.

An autopsy on the second-year medical records and information student’s body revealed that she was strangled and stabbed eight times— four on the back, three on the neck, and once on the left side of her abdomen.

Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti last week said that the killers ensured that they stabbed the baby but assured the public that the killers will be brought to book.

A suspect in the case, Michael Oyamo, who is also Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s personal assistant is currently being held by police in connection with the gruesome incident.
