The status of some former legislators who are leading broke lifestyles is sending wrong signals to some budding politicians eyeing elective seats in future.
A candidate who has been eyeing some elective post was overheard complaining about financial status of some former leaders. He said he would rather stick to his little paying chores in the village than end up like them.
He said it was demoralising to see former top politicians, some of whom served in the Cabinet struggling to make ends meet.
