Did you sit for your Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2004?
If your answer is yes, then you were battling it out for the top scores with Kenya’s richest female singer Akothee.
According to a result slip that she posted on social media that SDE cannot independently verify, Akothee scored a C+ grade.
She sat for the exams at Wasio Mixed Secondary School, was index number 34 and scored an impressive A plain in History and Government.
Like everyone else who noticed, she laughed at herself for scoring a strong D – in Mathematics! But look at her now, she is counting millions from her Akothee Safari’s business and raking more from her music.
A far cry from her struggles having gotten married while 14-years-old. She, however, made the decision to go back at 24 and struggled through school, paying her own fees.
And she has often explained that she does not want to see her children go through the same struggles that she endured.
The ‘Oyoyo’ hit meker early this year revealed that she comfortably coughs out KSh 625,000 termly fees for one of her children.
She has 5 kids. Do the math.
''One of my children is paying 650k per term yet they are 5, how many men will I sleep with to cover this? Lost sheep! Start analysing your life, analyzing my life yet you haven't met me! Will make you sick ,now if you come to my real life you will commit suicide coz sh@t is real , am not one of the celebrity who pose with fake things come slowly, I will blow your head,'' wrote Akothee.
