Truck driver takes off with rogue traffic police in his cab

A traffic police officer in Eldoret was treated to a taste of his own medicine. The officer – notorious for flagging down vehicles for whatever reasons – is said to have stopped a trailer.

He commandeered the driver to park by the road side for flouting traffic rules. But after a few minutes of “negotiations” the officer got into the vehicle and off they took leaving his colleague to manage the spot.

But it was during the ride that the driver changed his mind and started speeding past Eldoret town. Scared and not sure of the intentions of the driver, the officer started screaming for help. Engaging the driver was not a safer option as it could have caused a road accident.

The long and scary drive however came to a halt when the driver got to a road leading to Elgeyo Maragwet and found a herd of cattle crossing the road. This forced him to slow down, offering an opportunity for the officer to jump out of the vehicle.
