The National Super Alliance (NASA) has encouraged and welcomed the actions of election observers, saying they are instrumental in monitoring the repeat presidential poll slated for October 17.
During the tallying of the August 8th election, NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga criticised election observers who said that the polls were free and fair.
According to The Standard, The NASA brigade, led by Raila Odinga, his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka and Chief campaigner Musalia Mudavadi held talks with the observers to iron of differences.
They accused the observers of not being informed enough about the polling structure sand system as they had only seen how people voted and not how the results were transmitted.
“We have taken cognisance of their recommendations to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. We are not against them,” said NASA Co-principal Musalia Mudavadi.

Some observers already withdrew statements they made regarding the August 8th poll, one of them being John Kerry – former United State of America Secretary of State.
