Boy dies in car as mother abandons him for lover in hotel room

A woman in Bungoma locked her eight-year-old child in a vehicle so as to have uninterrupted good moments with her lover at a hotel room in Bumula.

The woman who the area chief identified as Christine Nasimuyu might have sought to leave her son in the vehicle so that her day is spent in a secret place.

She had three bottles of soda left for the toddler in the car and locked him up near Mateka market.

The woman and her lover escaped death as police rescued them from and angry crowd that threatened to lynch them.

The body of the boy was taken to Bungoma Referral hospital mortuary while his mother together with the man were held at Bumala police station. The boy might have succumbed to rising temperatures in the car that might have led to hyperthermia and death.
