Claire Mwaniki , known by many as “Nairobi’s Prettiest Thug” after police shot her down in Kayole, is was laid to rest in her home town of Murang’a - Kambirwa.
The burial ceremony, described as unusual, saw very few of her ‘friends’ attend, leaving the ceremony without a proper eulogy. It was one of the strangest burial ceremonies ever witnessed as the pastor never even introduced her family members or friends, making the ceremony as quick as possible.
However, it was not short of drama as police stormed in as arrested three men, believed to belong to Claire's gang and drove them away in separate vehicles.
Claire was shot dead in Kayole Last week after she refused to surrender to police. She and her gang were allegedly robbing people in broad daylight before a WhatsApp tip enabled police to find her and take her down.
At her burial, a mood described best as ‘tense’ was clearly visible as none of her family members felt like addressing any of the mourners.
