The National Super Alliance (NASA) principals and supporters will now be required to campaign without a mention of the ‘10 million votes strong’ campaign that has been to them a good message to ride on as they face Jubilee in the August polls.
Barely a week after Jubilee point men poured cold water on the analogy, the National Cohesion and Integration commission chairman Francis Ole Kaparo has come out and warned politicians against declaring number of votes they hope to garner in August poll.
According to Mr Kaparo such action during campaigns will prime voters to reject results as they are given a preset outcome that they will expect in August.
In various rallies, the Opposition has pointed out chances of scooping nearly all votes in the home 'strongholds' of its principles with ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford-Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula being expected to deliver votes from the larger Western region that his home to their Luhya community.
Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, a late entrant to the coalition with his Chama Cha Mashinani pledges to fill the NASA vote basket with a 25 percent top up from sections of Rift Valley votes.
