Mau Mau must come clean on torture

As we appreciate the British Government’s gesture of building a Mau Mau memorial, we wonder if the surviving freedom fighters will return the favour and reconcile with their equally innocent victims.

Mau Mau fighters also tortured and maimed innocent people who they perceived as sympathisers of the British Government.

Some of those innocently targeted were Christians, Christian missionaries, workers in English homesteads as well as educated Kenyans perceived as traitors.

The Mau Mau now also needs to come out and confess to these atrocities and probably also compensate the victims.
