A pastor from Malaa area, Matungulu, Machakos county is counting losses after five dogs mauled his goats.
The dogs killed two on the spot and left one nursing serious injuries.
Pastor Edward Waweru of Kenya Assemblies of God (KAG) Misuuni had left his goats to graze and left to peach the Gospel.
However, upon returning, he was shocked after he was informed all his goats had been killed by the wild dogs.
“I had tethered the goats in the morning as routine. I was shocked when I found them all dead. I had bought them for around Sh6,000 each,” said Pastor Waweru.

What shocked the Man of God is that the stray dogs ripped apart the goats, licked their blood but left the meat intact.
He reported the incident to KBC police station.
Matungulu DCIO Zacharia Yegon said there has been a rise in cases of dogs loitering around Malaa town and its environs, which poses a threat to residents and their domestic animals.
“Dogs should be allowed to roam freely only at night for security purposes. During the day, the dogs should be locked to avoid instances where they attack residents or animals,” said Yegon.
