A family in Usigu division, Bondo Sub-county, has accused a police officer in the area of making unwarranted sexual advances towards their daughter.
George Odhiambo Ngodo said he was fearing for his life after he refused to settle a defilement case between his daughter, 15, and a man accused of defiling her out of court.
Police in Usenge Police Station are said to have arrested the man before the officer started exchanging written communication with the girl, persuading her to have the case settled out of court
In one of the notes seen by The Standard, the said police officer promised to marry the minor.
Bondo police boss Paul Kiarie denied knowledge of the matter.
