Ulinzi Stars midfielder Boniface Muchiri is relishing the prospects of facing his former club Tusker in Saturday's FKF Cup semi-finals at Nyayo Stadium.
Buoyed by their impressive run in the domestic cup, Muchiri, who joined Ulinzi from Tusker in 2021 said that he is ready to marshall the military side against the brewers and book a place in the finals.
Though Muchiri is aware of the task that lies ahead, he is confident of dumping out the brewers from the tournament.
The soldiers beat Kenya Police 2-1 in the quarter-finals to set up a date with FKF Premier League leaders.
"It is a tough match since it is a knockout with no return leg but we are focused on the job and that day Ulinzi will matter most," Muchiri told FKF Media.
"I was with them (Tusker) for five years so they know me but I will give my best as I have always done and I hope to have a good match."
The 1pm encounter will be followed by a highly anticipated match between Kakamega Homeboyz and AFC Leopards at 15.15pm at the same venue.
The winners of the domestic cup will represent the country in next season's CAF Confederation Cup.
