Two people died and eight more were hurt after a rally car careered off the road in northern Portugal.
Footage broadcast by Portuguese media showed the horror moment the driver lost control of his vehicle and smashed into a tree after hitting several spectators.
The two people who were killed have been named locally as civil servant Jose Avelino Cruz and Maria Constancia Ferreira de Andrade, both 55.
Two of the eight people hurt, one of whom is a firefighter, are said to be serious.
Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has offered his condolences to the relatives of the victims.

The tragedy occurred just after 4 pm on Sunday at an event known as the Murca Ramp, part of the Portugal Mountain Championship, which takes place in the district of Vila Real.
Driver Luis Silva’s BMW had already passed the finish line when he went off the road.
A police investigation is ongoing but initial reports have pointed to the car’s accelerator getting stuck.
The local town hall has declared three days of mourning.
Footage showed the driver speeding past two groups of spectators standing the other side of a crash barrier and smoke coming from his wheels as he tried to break before smashing into a small crowd.
The unnamed firefighter is one of the seriously injured casualties. The man and woman who were killed are both from Murca.
